Premise

Geneticist Spencer Wells follows a DNA trail around the world and back some 50,000 years to tell "the story of your family and how they conquered the earth." Wells, who believes that "everybody on Earth might be related," traces humanity's roots to Namibia, where descendants of San bush people "developed a quantum leap in thinking." Good thing, because droughts caused by the Ice Age made food scarce and travel a priority. Wells follows the trail to a totally unpopulated North America.
