Joey Bishop Show
Bishop was another in a very long line of late-night hosts to take on Johnny Carson (for whom he had often been a substitute host). This ABC attempt to compete with `The Tonight Show' lasted a bit longer than most (about two and one-half years), but it was generally unremarkable, except for the guy playing the part of Ed McMahon: a young Regis Philbin.
