The hilarious late night host is at it yet again! In honor of his 1000th episode last night, Jimmy Kimmel created a very special video featuring himself and his long lost twin, Richard Slimmons Simmons. Were really feeling the short-shorts and bedazzled tank look (perhaps the hair should go, though). Maybe you should run with it more often! Your take: What do you think of the video? Better than his spoof on Sarah Silvermans? Who do you think he should feature in his next one?

Richard Simmons and Jimmy Kimmel by Mitch Haddad/ABC
It's only been a few weeks since Jimmy Kimmel was doing you-know-what to you-know-who, but now he's back with a new video, this time with fitness and sweatband guru Richard Simmons to reportedly try some workouts (Disclaimer: getting "whipped into shape," according to People.com). Kimmel taped the new video in honor of his upcoming 1000th episode, airing April 3. And while just a few frames from the new video have surfaced (here, on ET.com), at least there's an image of their costumes while some sweatin' to some oldies (or maybe new-ies, we'll see) together. What would be your dream routine for Kimmel and Simmons? Is Kimmel wearing short-shorts going to be a riot or a train wreck? And how must Simmons feel, constantly being the object of so many spoofs? I'm praying for answers to all my questions and more! when the video airs on Jimmy Kimmel Live at 11:35 pm/ET — a special new time for Thursday's 90-minute show (ABC). Anna Dimond

If you thought Sarah Silverman's "I'm F**king Matt Damon" was the most hilarious video you'd ever seen, wait till you get a load of what Jimmy Kimmel did to strike back last night during his post-Oscar show. Not only did he whip up a ridiculously brilliant video featuring Matt Damon's "other half," Ben Affleck, as his love interest, but he also went on to recruit what appears to be all of Hollywood to serve as backup singers. Robin Williams, Don Cheadle, Cameron Diaz, Lance Bass, Josh Groban, Harrison Ford its an endless list! Brad Pitt even makes a cameo as the Fed Ex guy. All we can say after watching them walk away together in their cut-off short-shorts? Awesome. Just plain awesome. **Note: If the video is loading slowly, sit tight a lot of people are trying to watch this at the same time! And if you don't remember how this all started, check out Sarah Silverman's "I'm F**king Matt Damon" video below. Words cant even explain the awesomeness that is this video. To celebrate her bf's 5th anniversary show, the hilariously crass Sarah Silverman surprised late-night host Jimmy Kimmel with a pre-taped music video featuring none other than Matt Damon. The only thing funnier than the lyrics of her song, Im f***king Matt Damon are his wicked dance moves (he rides that pony like pro). Matt Damon was always considered a cool guy in our book, but he has taken it to a whole new level after watching the video.

Does Jay Leno "Jimmy"? Apparently. With their struck shows not having the easiest of times booking guests, this Thursday the hosts of NBC's The Tonight Show and ABC's Jimmy Kimmel Live will appear on each other's late-night talkers. "There are only a few people in the world that know how tough this job is. Jimmy is one of them," Leno tells the AP. "It will be fun to discuss who's a good guest, who's a difficult guest and everything else that comes with sitting behind these desks." (One example: Jimmy can describe to Jay what actual audience laughter sounds like.)Kimmel himself tells the AP, "If Jay and I can come together and guest on each other's shows, surely there is hope for peace in the Middle East." Well, let's not go that far; this isn't Rosie and Donald making a sex tape.

Jay Leno with guest, Mike Huckabee, on The Tonight Show With Jay Leno by Paul Drinkwater/NBC Photo
Should the Writers Guild of America take this personally? According to Nielsen's overnight ratings in 55 markets, NBC's writer-less Tonight Show with Jay Leno was the audience favorite with a 5.3 rating and a 12 share on Wednesday night. That topped CBS' Late Show with David Letterman, which returned with its writers after Letterman's production company worked out its own deal with the WGA. It scored a 4.3/10. Viewers were clearly happy to see both shows return after a strike-imposed two-month hiatus, as both hit season highs. The same goes for NBC's Late Night with Conan O'Brien, which averaged a 2.5/8 in its return. That topped the 1.9/6 delivered by Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson. ABC's Jimmy Kimmel Live, which actually saw a ratings spike in November while the leading shows were in repeats, scored a 1.4/4. Stephen BattaglioRelated: TVGuide.com Asks... Conan O'Brien by Dana Edelson/NBC Photo
Did absence make our hearts grow fonder of late-night TV's hosts, missing in action for the last two months? I suppose it's possible, though I doubt anyone's preferences were changed by what they saw Wednesday night, when all of the network hosts finally returned to work, all but David Letterman and Craig Ferguson without writers. (If anything grew, it was facial hair, at least on Dave and Conan.)If you're the sort who for whatever reason prefers affable Jay Leno over cranky Dave, or chooses to stay up late for the delectable derangement that is Conan OBrien, nothing about Wednesdays opening night would likely have shaken you from your long-ingrained after-hours habits. The strike beards sported by Dave and Conan in solidarity with the still-striking writers (and to prove that I still have some testosterone, joked Conan) were the most noticeable changes on the late-night landscape.Heres my report card on late-nights opening night, keeping in mind ...

If you do in fact "Jimmy," some good news. On the heels of the news that Jay Leno and Conan O'Brien would resume their respective late-night talkers on Jan. 2, 2008, ABC has announced that Jimmy Kimmel Live will return with fresh shows that same Wednesday night."Though it makes me sick to do so without my writers, there are more than a hundred people whose financial well-being depends on our show," Kimmel says in a statement. "It is time to go back to work. I support my colleagues and friends in the WGA completely and hope this ends both fairly and soon."Related: Leno and Conan Strike Back, Return to Work Jan. 2 Writer-less Late Night Hosts Face Big Challenges

Jay Leno by Paul Drinkwater/NBC
The strike by the Writers Guild of America is just two weeks old and there's already been a lot of fretting about what fans will do when first-run episodes of their favorite shows run out. So what will happen if, despite the recent agreement to resume talks on Nov. 26, it goes on for 22 weeks like the last work stoppage in 1988?According to Shari Ann Brill, a senior vice president at the ad-buying firm Carat, this strike is going to hurt a whole lot more. "Television as a medium will survive this, but the days of powerful rule by the broadcasters over audiences and advertisers could suffer a crippling blow from a prolonged disruption," she says. The 1988 strike, she noted, occurred in early March. This was before the official TV season included the May sweeps, so most series had completed production for the season. Even though there was no end in sight for the work stoppage, the networks went ahead and presented a new fall schedule for the 1988-89 season and sold time on it to advert...
