Disney Channel's upcoming TV movie Descendants, which focuses on the kids of Disney's most infamous villains, has filled the role of Cruella de Vil's son.

Jessie star Cameron Boyce will play Carlos, the son of the 101 Dalmatians baddie. His hiring rounds out the cast, which also includes Dove Cameron (Liv and Maddie) as Mal, the daughter of Maleficent; Booboo Stewart (The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn) as Jay, the son of Jafar; newcomer Sofia Carson as Evvie, the daughter of the Evil Queen; and newcomer Mitchell Hope as Ben, the son of Belle and the Beast.

Disney Channel's Jessie to Feature Network's First Engagement

Jessie's titular hero is going to break ground when she becomes the first Disney Channel character to get engaged.

Jessie (Debby Ryan), 22, will accept her boyfriend Brooks' (Pierson Fode) proposal at the end of a four-episode arc concluding in the fall.

"Jessie is an adult, and we felt we could tackle this in a way that still feels appropriate for our audience," Adam Bonnett, Disney Channel executive vice president of original programing, told The Associated Press.

Exclusive: Disney Channel Premieres Wolfblood As Part of "Monstober" Lineup

Disney Channel will air the British pre-teen supernatural series Wolfblood in October as part of its month-long "Monstober" schedule of Halloween-themed favorites.

Wolfblood centers on 14-year-old Maddy (Aimee Kelly), who has a secret: She's a "wolfblood." These creatures — neither wolf nor human — possess extraordinary strength, super speed and heightened senses.

Disney Channel will air the entire first season of Wolfblood on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday nights at 8/7c from Oct. 1 through Oct. 24. In the premiere, Maddy discovers that the new boy at school, Rhydian (Bobby Lockwood), also shares her secret.

Exclusive: Disney's TV Stars Take Over the D23 Expo

Princesses, pop stars and superheroes will be among the many Disney favorites taking over the Anaheim Convention Center on August 9—11 for the biennial D23 Expo. The celebration of all things Disney will include the stars and creators of several popular shows from the Disney Channel, Disney XD and Disney Junior.

Among the big Disney Channel events being showcased are Phineas and Ferb: Mission Marvel, a summer special in which the boys meet the superheroes of (Disney-owned) Marvel Comics; Teen Beach Movie, a live-action musical airing July 19; and Wander Over Yonder, the upcoming animated series from The Powerpuff Girls creator Craig McCracken and starring 30 Rock alum Jack McBrayer (both of whom will be in attendance).
