The Jersey Shore, The Bachelorette
If there's one thing that TV gets right, it's the realistic depiction of romance — right? This week was like looking in a mirror. Vinny Chase began a not-so-chaste flirtation with a porn star on Entourage. Sookie protected her True Blood lover by staking his vampire maker. Mad Men's Don Draper treated his secretary like a whore. And, as the ballad of Angelina and Pauly D sounded its final mournful note, two sprightly young things named Ali and Roberto swept in to renew our faith in true love. Just like real life, but with better art direction! Welcome to Top Moments: Romantics and Cynics Edition.
Wow. This girl really knows how to irk friends and infuriate people.
When we first met Angelina Pivarnick on Season 1 of the GTL-icious reality show, she was simply ...
Deena Nicole Cortese
Guess who is about to face the critics?
Sources tell TVGuide.com that MTV will introduce new Jersey Shore cast member Deena Nicole Cortese — a friend of Snooki's, natch — to the world Friday during the network's Television Critics Association summer session.
Cortese will be on hand to take questions from reporters when the GTL group takes the stage.
On this week's Jersey Shore, Ronnie and Sammi fight and then make up, and Angelina gets on Pauly D's bad side.
When we left off, Ronnie had morphed into Single Ron. He comes home from the club wasted, talking about the "mad work" he did, before stealthily climbing into Sam's bed. She asks if he did anything, and he says no. When he wakes up the next morning not remembering a thing, the guys remind him that he was "creeping mad hard." So will he break the news to Sammi? "Deny, deny, deny" is his plan.

Justin Bieber, The Hard Times of RJ Berger
Has Bieber Fever struck again? Just when ratings for MTV's new scripted comedy The Hard Times of RJ Berger most needed a boost, Justin Bieber may have helped bring in a crowd.
To wit, MTV has renewed Hard Times for a second season, TVGuide.com has learned exclusively. The decision comes after a recent upswing in viewership that coincides with the 16-year-old pop superstar endorsing it as "funny stuff." Twelve new episodes will premiere sometime next year.
Here's how our friend with the famously flippable locks lent a hand:

The boys were back in town this week. Rescue Me's Tommy had a spectacular flameout in his quest for sobriety. Coach Taylor counseled a pained player on Friday Night Lights. The men told all on The Bachelorette. President Obama charmed the ladies of The View. And Don Draper tried to get his groove back on the new season of Mad Men. That's up a staggering 280 percent over December's series opener, according to the network.
