Premise:
`The King of Comedy' it wasn't: This attempt at a late-night talk show lasted just one week. Jerry Lewis, who played a late-night host in that 1983 Martin Scorsese film, made five shows as a trial run for a proposed series. It didn't pan out. Not that there was anything wrong with the guests, who included Frank Sinatra, Carol Burnett, William Shatner and Suzanne Somers.
