A seven-part British biography of Winston Churchill's American mother, Lady Randolph Churchill, née Jennie Jerome (1854-1921). Mettlesome and resolute, she was to help shape her son's political career as well as to become a flamboyant, unconventional figure in an era of respectability. Lee Remick received an Emmy nomination in the title role. The series originally aired on PBS's `Great Performances.'
