After fleeing Thornfield Hall in utter despair, a penniless Jane Eyre is forced to beg for food and shelter, eventually wandering into the Moor for two whole days. Unable to go on, she collapses at the cottage of a clergyman, who agrees to take her in.
Season 1, Episode 8
After confessing her feelings for Mr. Rochester, Jane learns that he has loved her all along, and they prepare to marry on the grounds of Thornfield Hall. But the wedding is interrupted by a lawyer who claims the ceremony can't go on.
