Video: Funnyman Carl Reiner Haunts Jake and the Never Land Pirates

Carl Reiner is one of the great Renaissance men of show biz — an actor, comedian, director, producer, author, screenwriter and playwright — but, until now, he's never been a singing-dancing ghost pirate! The nine-time Emmy-winning legend will lend his voice to Disney Channel's animated hit Jake and the Never Land Pirates (Friday, Oct. 3 8:30am/7:30c), where he'll play lovelorn Captain Treasure Tooth who is reunited — thanks to Jake and his pals — with his long-lost ghost girlfriend, Peg-Leg Peg (Seinfeld vet Estelle Harris). Video: Supernanny Jo Frost Guest Stars on Jake and the Never Land Pirates

She's Hook'd! Jo Frost will dig back into her Supernanny bag of tricks when she lends her voice to the Friday, July 18 episode of the Disney Channel cartoon hit Jake and the Never Land Pirates (9 a.m./8c). Her role: Nanny Nell, the no-nonsense governess who took care of villainous Captain Hook when he was just a wee little lad.

"I am suddenly the coolest auntie in the world — in fact, I have achieved an unprecedented level of cool!" says Frost. "My little niece, Isabella, is a huge fan of Jake and the Never Land Pirates, and she is beside herself that I am playing Captain Hook's nanny. I have officially arrived."

On the star-studded "Smee-rella" episode of Jake and the Never Land Pirates (8:30 a.m./7:30c), shlumpy Mr. Smee is transformed by Pip the Pirate Genie (voiced by Jerry O'Connell) into a dashing buccaneer who, with his newfound swagger, attends the Pirate Convention hosted by Red Jessica (Jane Kaczmarek) and catches the eye of Jessica's first mate Mollie (Melissa Rauch).

Exclusive: Disney's TV Stars Take Over the D23 Expo

Princesses, pop stars and superheroes will be among the many Disney favorites taking over the Anaheim Convention Center on August 9—11 for the biennial D23 Expo. The celebration of all things Disney will include the stars and creators of several popular shows from the Disney Channel, Disney XD and Disney Junior.

Among the big Disney Channel events being showcased are Phineas and Ferb: Mission Marvel, a summer special in which the boys meet the superheroes of (Disney-owned) Marvel Comics; Teen Beach Movie, a live-action musical airing July 19; and Wander Over Yonder, the upcoming animated series from The Powerpuff Girls creator Craig McCracken and starring 30 Rock alum Jack McBrayer (both of whom will be in attendance).

Disney Channel's animated preschool hit will air its Halloween episode, "Season of the Sea Witch," on Friday, Oct. 5 (8:30am/7:30c), featuring a wickedly delicious guest appearance by Emmy winner Carol Kane.
