Premise: In the 1880s, Ben Calhoun wins a nearly bankrupt, unfinished railroad in a poker game, then has to contend with outlaws, Indians and corrupt bankers as he struggles to get the line completed. Ellen Burstyn costarred during the second season under the name Ellen McRae.
