Premise: Barack Obama is sworn in as the 44th president outside the U.S. Capitol amid pomp and ceremony, plus music from Aretha Franklin, cellist Yo-Yo Ma and violinist Itzhak Perlman. The inaugural parade along Pennsylvania Avenue follows, and commentary is interspersed throughout the day. Before Joseph Biden takes his oath as vice president and Obama as president, Rev. Rick Warren gives the invocation. Rev. Joseph Lowery, a founder of the Southern Christian Leadership Conference, offers a benediction.
