Kieren sheds his contact lenses and cover-up mousse in public for the first time, but he is wrongly accused of freeing the rabids at the GP surgery and hauled in front of the tyrannical parish council.
Kieren becomes conflicted about seeing Simon behind Amy's back and gets frustrated by his cult-leader persona. Meanwhile, Philip, a Roarton council member, disagrees with Maxine's questionable politics, so she begins to orchestrate his downfall.
Fate throws Kieren and ULA member Simon together on the PDS "Give Back" scheme. Meanwhile, Freddie Preston returns from the grave to find his wife living with another man, but he becomes determined to win her back.
Kieren's dreams of leaving Roarton are dashed when MP Maxine imposes an undead travel ban on the town, along with stringent measures for PDS sufferers to pay back their debt to society. Meanwhile, Jem returns to school where a prank goes horribly awry.
Season 2 begins with Kieren working hard to save up enough money to escape Roarton and start a new life. But his dreams are threatened when Victus whips up hatred toward the undead and the Undead Liberation Army retaliates in violent fashion.
