In a stroke of great casting, Jane Lynch guest stars as boorish Sam's even more boorish mother, whom Sam has described in the past as having questionable hygiene, bad driving skills and poor taste in men. Tonight, a huge fight between Sam and her mom results in Sam bunking at Carly's place, but Sam's rude behavior as a houseguest has Carly and Spencer ready to evict her. Carly soon realizes that the only way to remedy her situation is to get Sam and her mom to resolve their issues.
