Fox has canceled the new summer reality shows I Wanna Marry Harry and Riot, Entertainment Weekly reports.
A year ago, Matt Hicks was just a normal guy living with friends in Exeter, U.K., working as an environmental consultant and playing hockey in his spare time. But when the producers behind Fox's new reality show I Wanna Marry Harry reached out to him, Hicks thought, "Why not?"
The twist: Hicks would have to pretend to be Prince Harry while courting 12 American girls.
The royal con is on this summer when Fox launches I Wanna Marry "Harry," a new reality dating series from producer Ryan Seacrest where "average English bloke" Matthew Hicks is transformed into Prince Harry and introduced to a dozen single American women looking to land a Prince Charming of their own. As the faux Harry courts the ladies with a series of fairytale dates, will they fall for the crown or see through the ruse?
