March 5, 2007: Where's My Shot? Season 1, Episode 7

This show is so genius. Bringing in the ex-girlfriends? Come on! And was anyone else startled at how good looking all of them were? Especially Real's ex - I thought she was seriously model pretty. You could tell New York hated her. But I'll get to that in a second. So, the girls come in, and I have never seen anyone so uncomfortable; all five of the guys were completely paralyzed. I loved how they all hardcore pregamed that dinner, too, (I really can't blame them). And I'm starting to forget Chance's past annoying tantrums because he was just so amazing in this episode. I can't believe he didn't even remember the dinner! Well, yes, I can actually; he could barely sit up straight or string together a sentence at the table. New York's quote about him was absolutely priceless and makes me kind of hope they end up together: "He's nuts. He's psychotic, and he talks before he thinks. And we have that in common, and I love Chance for it!" So true, New York, so true. I think what made this episode so great in general, actually, was all of the heavy drinking on everyone's part. Those tiny girls all pounding shots, the mini-liquor bottle chugging, White Boy pouring his shot onto a piece of bread - you can't write this stuff. I have to say, though, I was a little disappointed in what the ex-girlfriends had to say overall; I was expecting some more dirt. I wanted some humiliating stories; I wanted every detail of why they broke up with each of the five guys. But New York's questions weren't that great, and the girls didn't really reveal anything that I didn't already assume. 12-Pack worked as a stripper - oh, I'm sorry, a "promoter" - at a gay club? Chance smokes weed a lot? No! I really think it was just because they were all so pretty, and New York didn't want to interact with them. I could tell New York wasn't a huge fan of this idea, as much as she may have liked it in theory, once she actually saw the girls. So anyway, New York gets hammered, and she is in rare form. I was waiting for a good Flavor of Love-style New York bitch fight, (I was worried one would never happen since she doesn't have to deal with girls anymore). And I'm actually really surprised she admitted she was wrong about the Tango fight. That's not her style. I really am liking Tango more and more, but why is he such a girl? And not just him - these guys all get so dramatic and pack their bags every two seconds. Can't they just man up? Oh, and I'm so glad 12-Pack is gone. He is such an ass and a raging alcoholic! I'm ready to pretend he never happened. But now, my favorite moment of this pretty fantastic episode: Chance and New York's cooking class followed by the most ridiculous make-out session of this show - and that's saying something. I died when that chef asked Chance why he was so good at rolling asparagus up in prosciutto and if he had ever done it before. "Similar, similar." show less
