Premise: Part 1 of two. A compelling and frequently painful drama about sex trafficking featuring some really fine performances, notably by French-Canadian actress Isabelle Blais as a single mother from Prague who is smuggled into the U.S. and forced to work as a prostitute. The ensemble cast also includes Mira Sorvino, Donald Sutherland, Robert Carlyle and Laurence Leboeuf. Christian Duguay directed.
