Question: Any news on ABC's absolutely riveting Hopkins series extending its run? This is just pure quality and definitely needs more than a six-week season. Any chance of it becoming a "regular"?
Answer: I've heard nothing about an expanded series. But given that this is a continuation of a limited-run docu-series that ABC News aired several years ago, I'd think it's more likely that we'll see it return in miniseries format a while down the line. Viewers were definitely not afraid to see the doctor. Thursday's premiere of Hopkins on ABC registered 5.8 million viewers for the net, and built upon on its lead-in by 2.4 million sets of eyeballs.
