After their big kiss at the end of last season, Lisbon and Jane are fully immersed in their honeymoon period when the season begins. But when they're called back to work to investigate the murder of an undercover FBI agent, they have to figure out how (or if) to break the news of their relationship to their colleagues. Lisbon, for one, wants to keep the romance under wraps — which Jane is willing go along with. Or at least he is until Lisbon's ex Pike comes back in the picture.

It's a good thing Showtime's Homeland has regained a good deal of its suspenseful mojo this season — Sunday's episode involving a captured Saul (Mandy Patinkin) on the run from the Taliban was especially harrowing — because otherwise it would have a lot to answer for, having seemingly inspired NBC's disappointingly derivative State of Affairs, a clumsy and unconvincing star vehicle for a miscast Katherine Heigl (premiering Monday at 10/9c).

The wacky adventures of bipolar CIA agent Carrie Mathison will continue to stretch the limits of believability as Showtime has ordered a fifth season of the national security drama Homeland. Also getting good news from the network was Homeland's Sunday night companion, The Affair, which was renewed for a second season.
