VIDEO: Lisa Makes Bug Cookies, Chicken-Heart Pie on Hoarders

Lisa

At one point, a cleaner on Monday's episode of Hoarders (9/8c, A&E) compares the house of Lisa, one of this week's hoarders, to the one in The Texas Chain Saw Massacre. But the episode reveals its macabre core way earlier than that: In the scene below, Lisa and her daughter discuss Lisa's ghoulish culinary tendencies. These include cookies made out of dry mealworm bodies and a pie filled with raw chicken hearts.

As horrifying as it sounds, there's a real sense of tragedy that informs Lisa's cooking...

VIDEO Exclusive: Joyce's Dolls Are Her Hoarded Little Friends on Hoarding: Buried Alive

Joyce - Hoarding: Buried Alive

Heaping piles of dolls are having a moment!

Earlier this season on Hoarders, we met Phyllis, who rifles through bins at the Salvation Army for dolls to rescue and perform "surgery" on. TLC will feature Marilyn Mansfield, who has 500 dolls and rolls one into a shoe store to be outfitted in sandals, on My Collection Obsession (Sunday, 10/9c). But before that, on Hoarding: Buried Alive (Sunday, 9/8c), TLC will feature Joyce, whom you can get to know a little in the exclusive sneak peek below. She has almost 1,000 dolls, but likes the ones that smile best.

Marilyn Mansfield Shows Off Her 500 Dolls on My Collection Obsession

Marilyn Mansfield

"I'm not crazy at all, really! I just like dolls!" Marilyn Mansfield tells TVGuide.com. Her interest in dolls comprises one of four stories on TLC's special My Collection Obsession (Sunday, 10/9c). And while she may not be certifiable, she's certainly crazy for dolls. The show reports that the part-time model and actress has over 500 dolls (she says this number includes action figures and other approximations) she's collected over the past 10 years. Mansfield, who got her stage name by combining those of Marilyn Monroe and Jayne Mansfield, has a particular love of "reborn" dolls — those which closely resemble real babies and cost hundreds of dollars (Mansfield tells us that her most expensive doll cost $1,200). In typical TLC quirk-adoring fashion, the highlight of Mansfield's segment occurs when she carts a doll that's the size of a 5-year-old child into a shoe store to have it fitted, much to the astonishment of the store's employees...

VIDEO: Hoarders' Clare Is a Staunch Character

Hoarders

On the upcoming Hoarders (Monday, 9/8c, A&E), we're introduced to Clare, an elegant older woman whom one neighbor refers to as "Slumdog Millionaire." See, her house is trashed despite it being gorgeous and outfitted with a pool. (And dig that DeLorean in her driveway!) If this doesn't remind you of Big and Little Edie Beale, you need to watch Grey Gardens again...

VIDEO: What's So Bad About a Media Hoarder?

Hoarders

Beverly records everything! This week's episode of Hoarders (Monday, 9/8c, A&E) suggests that there is rarely a moment when the Towanda, Kan., woman's fleet of DVD burners aren't capturing multiple TV programs. Of course, these things pile up (and spill into the backyard) and there's more general disarray going on in her situation. But still, I relate to her...

VIDEO: Fire Is Not Considered a Fire Hazard on Hoarders

Hoarders

On Monday's Hoarders (9/8c, A&E) we meet Ron, who seems like a garden-variety hoarder until he reveals that he keeps an open flame on his stove "at all times." He reasons that it helps warm the house, and that it's not a fire hazard because it can't reach any of the thousands of pieces of paper he has crammed in his house.

VIDEO: Man Hoards Himself on Hoarders

Randy

Randy Senna is something of a local celebrity in the resort town of Wildwood, N.J., where he once ran a boardwalk game center called Flipper's Fascination. He's been the subject of profiles and a forthcoming documentary, in which he's generally regarded as an eccentric. Now, it turns out — at least according to Hoarders (Monday, 9/8c, A&E), he's a hoarder. You know how it goes: the medium is the diagnosis...

VIDEO: Hoarders' Roy Hoards Cars, Accomplishments

Hoarders

On this week's Hoarders (Monday, 9/8c, A&E) we're introduced to Roy, who lives in Boulder Creek, Calif., and is something of an anomaly — because all his hoarding (that we see) takes place outside on his 168 acres of land. (The added space means he can hoard larger things like cars.) But it's also because of his accomplishments as an inventor. Here are a few of the inventions he claims responsibility for...
