TV-comedy writers Ted and Neil are friends dealing with the conflicting demands of work and family. Ted is a loving dad with an overachieving daughter among his three children, while the self-absorbed Neil has troublesome kids. Despite a cast of accomplished comics that included Kevin Nealon, Richard Lewis and Eugene Levy---and Ron Howard as a producer---`Hiller and Diller' never clicked with viewers.
