Question: I am shocked how some of your readers think Fargo should have been just a follow-up to the movie with let's see how Marge is doing since everyone else involved in the movie was either dead or in prison. I agree that the show is terrific. The episode last week was one of the most amazing episodes of TV I have ever seen.

5 Teases for Season 5 of Parenthood: A Wedding and a "Conveyor Belt of Babies"

Last year was a tough season for Parenthood, on-screen and off-screen. The show kept viewers reaching for the tissues when Kristina Braverman (Monica Potter) battled breast cancer, while her niece Amber (Mae Whitman) struggled with her feelings for a former soldier suffering from PTSD. Behind the camera, the perennial bubble show had been renewed for 15 episodes — shorter than the usual 22 — and ended its season way back in January. Kevin Beggs' Watchlist: What Does He Love About Family Guy?

Kevin Beggs, the president of Lionsgate's television group, may have helped introduce the world to some of the most culturally literate shows on TV, but when it's time for him to name his favorites, he recalls with glee an episode of Family Guy and utters just four words: "Bird Is the Word".

The most fun part of launching TVGuide.com's new mobile app is getting to have unexpected, enlightening conversations about TV with the incredibly smart, talented people who make it. That's why we're thrilled that Beggs, aka the man who has ushered shows like Mad Men, Weeds and Nurse Jackie into the cultural consciousness, has agreed to curate a channel on the app for us.  And why it's such a kick to find out that he's a Family Guy fan. "Seth MacFarlane has turned digression into an artform," he says. Beggs' next project, Nashville, premieres on ABC on Oct. 10 at 10/9c. (Full disclosure: TVGuide.com is owned by a partnership of Lionsgate and JP Morgan's One Equity Partners.)

But let's get down to brass tacks. Can he tell us all kinds of incriminating stories from behind the scenes of Mad Men? "There are many, but I would be killed if I divulged any of them," he jokes.

Here's Beggs' full list. Watch his video introduction to his watchlist below.

Premise: Steven Bochco's landmark ensemble crime drama was an often electrifying mix of realism and humor within continuing storylines (in an unnamed big city), paving the way for gritty successors like `NYPD Blue' and `Homicide: Life on the Street.' `Hill Street Blues' copped more than two dozen Emmys, eight in its rookie season. With its gripping stories and complex characters, along with Mike Post's stirring theme music, this was television drama of a high order.
