Nick Lachey: The thing that excited me about this project was that it involved musical theater at the high school age.     What the Tuck? There's already a hitch in those fantastic One Life to Live 40th anniversary plans I revealed earlier this week. Fan fave Jessica Tuck, who was supposed to be seen in a Heaven sequence as her late, great character Megan, had to bow out of the gig yesterday due to a scheduling conflict. (Souces say the conflict is High School Musical 3, but I have no confirmation of that).This is not just a big disappointment for us Tuck-anistas, it's a big headache for the show because her appearance was no mere cameo. OLTL head writer Ron Carlivati had wanted Megan to serve as a celestial guide for her mama Viki (Erika Slezak), who will visit the Great Beyond after dying in a car crash — a major two-day plot twist (airing July 21-22) that riffs on one of the soap's most famous stories from the 1980s.   • HSM Star Tisdale Targeted by HIV Hoax | Today's News: Our Take | 6/7/2008
    High School Musical "senior" Ashley Tisdale this week was targeted by a sophomoric prank, as an online site or two spread a rumor that the starlet had been diagnosed as HIV-positive. "The story is completely untrue," says Tisdale's rep, Scott Appel. The false tale claimed that Tisdale contracted HIV through her recent rhinoplasty procedure, and even was "backed up" by a bogus statement from Cedars-Sinai saying, "Ashley and her family are trying to come to terms with this horrible development. They only ask that you pray for Ashley’s health and to please respect their privacy." A spokesperson for the medical center denies issuing any such statement. — Matt Mitovich read more
