Premise: A squad of California officers, led by veteran Sgt. Marsh, patrols a suburban community. The ensemble drama revisits the 'burbs of Steven Spielberg's `E.T. The Extra-Terrestrial,' which makes sense, as Spielberg was one of the show's producers. However, viewers, perhaps turned off by its gritty, violent nature during a generally early time slot, never warmed to it. (Plus, it was often up against `Friends.')
