Three designers compete in the eighth-season finale, which finds each of them leading teams of their former competitors as they make over huge suites in a Palm Springs resort hotel. "Property Brothers" Drew and Jonathan Scott act as the guest mentors; and host David Bromstad joins the judging panel to help pick the winner.
Each of the four remaining competitors are tasked with giving an old school bus a makeover; and must present an unconventional design tip to Julie Chen and Sheryl Underwood during a segment on the TV show "The Talk."
Working in pairs, the eight remaining contestants have two days to transform four identical apartments for their client, a young married couple. The winning design will be featured in HGTV Magazine, while both members of the losing team will be eliminated.
The nine remaining hopefuls face their second challenge, which is to transform a loft in an old industrial warehouse into a living space. They also must update a vintage item and incorporate it into their design.
