NBC Chairman Bob Greenblatt did everything but launch into a chorus of "I've Gotta Crow" — a song from Peter Pan, the next live musical on the network's slate (on Dec. 4) — as he bullishly opened the network portion of the TCA summer press tour on Sunday. Inside the Last-Minute Scramble to Save Community

"Six seasons and a movie" almost didn't happen. As June drew to a close, time was running out to save Community, which NBC had canceled in May. Talks to move the comedy to streaming service Hulu were falling apart, the deal options to keep the show's cast intact expired at the end of the month, and much of the crew and key writers had already moved on to new jobs. Even the comedy's offices on the studio lot had been taken over by a new series: Grace and Frankie, Netflix's upcoming sitcom starring Jane Fonda and Lily Tomlin.

This week, Pippa Middleton gave her first televised interview on theToday show, and Funny or Die threw a surprise birthday party for America in honor of the Fourth of July. Jimmy Kimmel exposed bandwagon fans who were rooting for the U.S. in the World Cup, and also rewrote the lyrics to Trey Songz' "Na Na" so that old people could understand them. Chris Rock hosted the BET Awards, where he showed a video of himself interviewing white people at a monster truck rally about the show. Also, Showtime debuted the trailer for Season 2 of Masters of Sex, and Hulu geared up for the premiere of its original series The Hotwives of Orlando.
