Premise: Animated fairy tales recast with characters from various cultural backgrounds. The classic bedtime stories include a black `Jack and the Beanstalk,' a Chinese `Little Red Riding Hood' and a Latino `Hansel and Gretel.' Among the voices are Calista Flockhart, Pam Grier, James Earl Jones, Rosie Perez, Chris Rock, Will Smith, Jimmy Smits, Wesley Snipes and Denzel Washington.
