    The Fox network announced that Alan Colmes, the liberal half of its news channel's popular Hannity & Colmes will leave the show at the end of the year.

    Colmes is ready to move on from the popular show in order to "develop new and challenging ways to contribute to the growth of the network," Variety reports.

    Most point-a-finger-in-your-face cable-news hosts wouldn't bother defending a competitor.
