Now that Jake has been arrested, please tell me that Olivia will finally find out that Rowan was behind Jerry's death on Scandal. — Denise

Unfortunately, it doesn't sound like that reveal is coming any time soon. "You always think it can't go on any longer, but they twist it in a way you didn't even think of," star Brian Letscher, who plays Tom, teases of the (inevitable?) reveal. "Rowan is a master manipulator .... and the ripple effects of Tom [saying Jake ordered him to kill Jerry] affect a lot of people in ways he never imagined."

Got anything about the final season of The Newsroom? — Ashley

The season premiere is set around the events of the Boston Marathon bombing and, owing to ACN's screw-up with the Operation Genoa story last season, everyone is appropriately gun shy about reporting the "facts" of the story too quickly... read more

Mega Buzz: A Blacklist Betrayal, New Girl's New Date and Gotham's True Hero

Do you have any new info on The Blacklist's new season? —  Roger
How about some exclusive casting news? Tony-nominated Broadway veteran Norm Lewis — who is currently starring in the title role of The Phantom of the Opera and did a stint last season on Scandal — has been tapped to play J.P. Laskin, a business associate of Red's who doesn't exactly agree with his recent moves in the ongoing war with Berlin. In fact, I hear Laskin may even be tempted to switch sides. Of course, once Red finds out about the betrayal, he'll probably make the choice for him. Perhaps playing a "phantom" will come in handy!

I'm really curious to see how Nick and Jess are doing after their break-up last season on
New Girl. What will their dynamic be like when the show returns? — Lindsay
Four months have passed since Nick and Jess were last romantically involved, but unfortunately for Jess, it's been a bit of a slow summer in the love department... read more

Ask Matt: Glee, Good Wife, Person of Interest, Emmys and Law & Order

Lea Michele

Question: I am really disappointed that Glee is returning to McKinley and that they are adding more characters to fill out their already shortened final season. The last few seasons of Glee have been less than stellar, but the last handful of episodes set in New York were awesome. Give me New York and throw McKinley away for good. Even with the cliché that was Rachel going from student to Broadway star to TV star almost overnight, I enjoyed watching the more adult struggles of these characters. Now I feel betrayed, like someone dangled the proverbial carrot and then took it away. With 12 episodes left, I want them to focus on the original glee-clubbers following their dreams into the adult world. Sigh. Is this a thing with Ryan Murphy, where his shows start strong for a few seasons and then implode at the end? I hated the last few seasons of Nip/Tuck. — Olivia

Critic's Notebook: NBC at TCA

NBC Logo

NBC Chairman Bob Greenblatt did everything but launch into a chorus of "I've Gotta Crow" — a song from Peter Pan, the next live musical on the network's slate (on Dec. 4) — as he bullishly opened the network portion of the TCA summer press tour on Sunday. (One of his buzzier announcements involved naming Christopher Walken as that show's Captain Hook.) read more

Christopher Walken to Play Captain Hook on NBC's Peter Pan Musical

Christopher Walken

NBC has busted out its weapon of choice.

The network announced that it has cast Oscar winner Christopher Walken as Captain Hook in its live musical production of Peter Pan, which will air Dec. 4. "Funny, right?" NBC Chairman Bob Greenblatt said at the Television Critics Association fall previews on Sunday. "He's one of the most unique actors... but he's just really a song and dance man at heart... It'll be the first tap-dancing Captain Hook you've ever seen."
