Marcellus and his new partner (Paul Adelstein) are officially assigned to the case, but that doesn't prevent Mike from launching his own investigation. In other happenings, an ambitious journalist wants to write about Mike's acts of heroism since becoming a cabdriver. Also: Heather encourages Mike to make peace with his estranged father.
