Alan Thicke, best known for playing Growing Pains patriarch Jason Seaver, will star in a TVGN reality sitcom showcasing his real-life family, the network announced Wednesday.
Unusually Thicke, which will premiere Wednesday, April 16 at 10/9c, will follow Thicke, his "spicy" younger wife Tanya and their 16-year-old son Carter. Though his son Robin Thicke will not be a cast member, the "Blurred Lines" singer will be featured on the series, which blends aspects of reality television and scripted sitcoms.
This week, it seemed like everyone jumped on the "Blurred Lines" parody bandwagon, creating alternate versions that featured everything from reversed gender roles to the cast of Growing Pains. CollegeHumor released a trailer for a Daria movie (here's hoping!) starring Aubrey Plaza as the title character, and Veronica Mars fans got their first glimpse of the upcoming movie. Annette Funicello, the Beach Party star, singer and former teen icon who rose to fame on the original Mickey Mouse Club, died Monday. She was 70.
Funicello died from complications of multiple sclerosis and was taken off life support after being in a coma for years, her family told Extra. She was diagnosed with the disease in 1987.
