Things are not looking so good as the episode kicks off. The Kappa Tau pledges need a car and Cappie's has seen better days, Rusty's driving past comes back to haunt him when he wants to borrow Casey's car and Ashleigh's shopping sprees have resulted in a $1300 credit card bill (oops). Evan is having money problems of his own - sort of. On the verge of receiving his trust fund Evan learns the fund is conditional, forcing him to choose between his parents dictating his life or inheriting millions of dollars. Both Cappie's car troubles and Ashleigh's money woes can be solved thanks to the $2000 cash prize at Omega Chi's Casino Night! Casey and Ashleigh decide counting cards is the way to ensure a win and enlist Rusty for help. (Cartwright powers activate!) Max the RA ends up being a better teacher and so the gang enlists his mathematical skills. Instead of investing so much time and effort into a junk car, Rebecca offers to buy Cappie a new one. Although the idea of driving around and solving crime Knight Rider style is tempting, Cappie is a little unsure of taking such a big step and getting so serious with his girlfriend. Omega Chi must have one hell of a social budget because the casino looked awesome! And speaking of looking awesome, Ash and Casey were sporting some supercute retro looks. Max the RA wasn't looking too shabby in a tux either, (Holler, hot nerds!) which is more than I can say about Frannie. Home girl needs to find a better pants suit. Side note on Frannie: Why is she so upset about Casey brushing her off? Frannie says she supported and advised Casey, which is true, but she also schemed behind her back to get Evan. Can't have it both ways, Fran. The plan to count cards is foiled by cheating nerd Jason (the one Ashleigh told off last season). Rusty is able to switch marked cards with a deck designed to screw over Jason, putting Max the RA is back in business. During the last game Max the RA gets awkward, blows all of his chips on a stupid bet and then abruptly leaves the party (drama queen). Cappie ends up the big winner, enabling him to repair his beloved car - without Rebecca's help. Rebecca tells Cappie she needs more than fun and even though Cappie offers to step up, she still breaks up with him. Casey and Rusty have a cute sibling moment followed by Max the RA totally blowing off Casey. But before you think everyone ends the episode on a bad note, Evan chose to take the trust fund and packs his luggage into one of the coolest cars I've ever seen in my life. I guess a lack of freedom is worth it when your boundaries include Martha's Vineyard. Max the RA's attitude was pretty mysterious. I wonder why he was so aloof in the end? And now that Rebecca and Cappie aren't together, what does this mean for Casey? And if Frannie is going to stop being so nice, like Evan suggested, what on earth does she have planned as a mean girl?
