"Black & White and Read All Over" Season 1, Episode 10

So much drama this week! Glad we're ending the season with a bang. The episode kicks off with the revelation that someone anonymous wrote an exposé of the Greek system in the CRU school paper, which included tons of personal details about Casey and the ZBZs. In the wake of the scandal, the dean of the school threatens the continued existence of the Greek system, prompting Cappie and the Kappa Taus to head underground. Frannie also initiates a search for a rat in ZBZ at Casey's prompting, and they set their sights on Rebecca. In the midst of the scandal, Ashleigh gets last-minute notice that secret-boyfriend Travis is coming for a visit. She gets a cheap hotel room in which to entertain him since the ZBZ house is a no-go, and Calvin is charming as usual in helping her prep. Ash finally decides to dump Travis and put the moves on Calvin. Calvin rejects her advances and tells her he's gay, and she freaks and leaves. Best-line-of-the-night award again goes to Ashleigh: "And you knew about my summer at cheerleading camp! That secret is definitely bi-curious, you couldn't have brought it up then?" Later, Ashleigh sees the error of her unforgiving ways and goes to Omega Chi to apologize to Calvin. But in the process she accidentally outs him to his brothers. When Calvin finds out, he rejects her explanation and rescinds his own apology, returning to the frat house to an awfully uncomfortable silence. Meanwhile, Jen K. and Rusty's laments about having to be apart for four weeks are interrupted by her confession that she is the author of the article. They fight about her betrayal and Rusty is confused about what he should do. Back at ZBZ, Frannie and Casey kick Jen K. to the curb, while a member of the national branch of ZBZ, played delightfully by Charisma Carpenter, descends on the ZBZ house. Casey goes behind Frannie's back to set Charisma straight on what happened, prompting the firing of Frannie and the appointment of Casey as interim president. As revenge, Frannie puts on her most sultry flowy top and tells Evan that Casey only stayed with him after he cheated because Frannie told her to. Evan confronts Casey, who admits to her kiss with Cappie a few weeks back. He breaks up with her, and even sadder, cancels their planned trip to Aspen. Things are bleak for the Cartwrights in general this week, as Rusty decides he has to break up with Jen K. But on the upside, he shares a touching hug with Dale. Cappie takes Rusty out to get drunk and Cappie ends up sleeping with Rebecca. Thus, we head into hiatus with virtually everyone sad or alone, and the future of the Cyprus-Rhodes Greek system unknown. Awesome. See you in January! show less
