“From Vienna: The New Year's Celebration 2001.” Nikolaus Harnoncourt leads the Vienna Philharmonic in the holiday perennial featuring music of Johann Strauss. Included: “Radetzky March,” Overture to “A Night in Venice,” the “Harlequin Polka,” and “Blue Danube Waltz.” Also: a tribute to composer Joseph Lanner (1801-43). Walter Cronkite is the TV host.
