American Yiddish theater is celebrated in "The Thomashefskys," the story of San Francisco Symphony music director Michael Tilson Thomas' grandparents Bessie and Boris. The couple were integral to the development of Yiddish theater in New York City during the late 1800s and early 1900s. Thomas wrote and hosts the production.
