To the consternation of prematurely balding men and chicken fetishists everywhere, ABC has pulled the plug on The Great American Dream Vote, which in its first two airings served up far-from-great ratings (despite a plum Dancing with the Stars lead-in for its Tuesday bow). Dream Vote, which isnt expected to air its remaining episodes, will be replaced by (you get two guesses... ) George Lopez repeats.

This Tuesday's ratings highlights:8 pm/ETFeaturing the luminous Gwen Stefani and a kick-ass performance by Gina, the 67-minute American Idol drew 26.84 million total viewers, a 2.6 mil drop from a week ago. A Dancing with the Stars recap show (10.8 mil) placed third behind an NCIS repeat.9 pmHouse (22.18 million) topped the hour with 2.3 mil fewer heads than its last fresh outing. DWTS was watched by 17.6 million, a 1.5 mil increase over Season 3's first results show. Pussycat Dolls (2.6 mil) dipped 400K.10 pmSVU (12.82 million) was up a mil from its last new entry. A Shark repeat bested the bow of ABC's excruciating Dream Vote thing (6.08 mil, shedding two mil during its back half-hour).

In a Friday conference call to promote the March 27 premiere of ABC's The Great American Dream Vote, the show's host, '70s hearthrob Donny Osmond, revealed that he and his kin may reunite for a one-time TV special. "The family has been talking," he said. "I haven't done a show with my brothers [Wayne, Jay, Merrill, Alan and Jimmy] for 25 years or so. We are talking about doing a TV special, and maybe something with [sister] Marie, but nothing is locked in yet." Maybe with Marie? If not, who's gonna bring da bit o' country?!
