In the midseason finale of Glee, the club heads for sectionals. However, Quinn's baby daddy drama may tear the club apart, hindering them in the competition. Meanwhile, Emma and Ken's wedding is coming, and Will makes a decision that may change his life.
While the club waits to find out who their sectionals coach will be, Rachel ponders why Puck rushed to Quinn's aid the day before when she slipped at rehearsal. Everyone else in glee is clued in to the baby daddy drama, sans Rachel, and, of course, Finn, but they're not giving up any info. Rachel claims to be psychic and thinks there's definitely something up.
Kurt, Mercedes, Tina and Artie then go into action mode. They need to make sure that Rachel doesn't find out about Puck being the father because she'll immediately tell Finn and ruin any chance they have of winning sectionals. The fab four blame the cheerios in the bunch, since Santana is "dating" Puck. "Sex is not dating," she retorts. "If it were, Santana and I would be dating," says Brittany. That's a hilarious and interesting development for another time.

The real baby bump is finally revealed in Wednesday night's episode of Glee, causing Will to lose it. Kicking off the episode, Will joins Emma and Ken for lunch only to find that yearbook pictures are on the way. Ken has been working to lose weight for photos and also for the wedding, which has been scheduled on the same day as the glee club's sectionals competition. The opening of "Vitamin D" finds Will trying to get glee club to step up their game. Unfortunately, glee thinks sectionals are going to be a breeze and so they aren't putting in any effort. Why does the club think the competition is going to be a cakewalk? They're competing against a school for the deaf and an all-girls halfway house. My spidey-senses say those clubs are going to be exceedingly excellent, despite what glee thinks.

It's finally here, folks — Glee! Fox gave Ryan Murphy's dark comedy a plum, post-American Idol spot to show off its hot new property, hoping to generate some summertime excitement in advance of its fall debut. I've been pretty high on Glee's charms since I first viewed the pilot episode in January. Though it has been tweaked slightly since then, its inherent fun and goodness have remained intact. I'm very curious to see how all you respond to the story of one man's somewhat self-serving quest to revive a high-school glee club. I think Murphy has succeeded in his quest to create a show with heart, but not without sacrificing the subversive, um, glee, with which he usually operates (see: Nip/Tuck, Popular). So let's meet the Glee gang, shall we?
