Sharon Wyatt, Passions
In today's episode of Passions, that red-fingernailed mystery woman will be unmasked at last. Drumroll, please.... She is Alistair Crane's long-lost girlfriend, Rachel. Turns out he has needlessly blamed his daughter, Sheridan, for her demise all these years! On New Year's Eve, Rachel returns to wreak revenge on her belligerent billionaire ex.
Longtime soap-opera buffs will be tickled to see
Sharon Wyatt in the role of Rachel. She and
John Reilly (Alistair) were a popular supercouple as
General Hospital's Tiffany Hill and Sean Donely in the '80s and '90s. Though their backstage reunion was probably warm and friendly, their on-screen face-off will be another story!

Wanna win a walk-on role on All My Children, General Hospital or One Life to Live? All it takes is a photo and a 50-word essay explaining why you're the biggest fan of your chosen sudser. According to an ABC Fan February contest release, AMC's winner will dance with the soap's stars at an elegant ball hosted by Erica Kane, while GH's No. 1 fan will experience fear when a health scare hits Port Charles, and OLTL's victor will witness a surprise marriage proposal. Sounds fun, huh? Well, except for maybe that "health scare" one. See abc.com for contest details.

General Hospital's Adrianne Leon — who briefly played Lois and Ned's kid, Brook Lynn No. 2 — reported for work on The Young and the Restless set last Friday. Leon first airs as the recast Colleen Carlton on Jan. 18. What happened to Lyndsy Fonseca, the original Colleen? As previously reported, she's gone on to pursue other acting gigs, like this year's pervy Lifetime movie Cyber Seduction: His Secret Life. Next up, Fonseca will costar in 90210 grad Rebecca Gayheart's supernatural series, Scarlett, also on Lifetime.

FYI, General Hospital has promoted Kent Masters King from a recurring role to contract player. Word is, the ABC sudser plans to heat up Dr. Lainey Winters' romance with attorney Justus Ward (M'fundo Morrison) and give her some family, too. That's good, because Kent needs a chance to wow soap fans with what she can do as an adult actress. (I still think of her as Julie Williams, the little girl who drowned that rotten wife-beater Danny Waleska on Knots Landing.)

On Jan. 3, Gwendoline Yeo begins recurring on General Hospital as Dr. Kelly Lee, who will complicate Courtney's love triangle with Jax and Nikolas. Yeo has guest-starred on several prime-time TV series, including 24, NYPD Blue and The O.C.
FYI, Yeo popped up in a 2002 episode of
GH in another role. "She made a brief appearance as Brigette Murray, a reporter covering a club opening," recalls casting director
Mark Teschner. "She left an impression on me, and I have continued reading her [for roles] through the years, but she is here now because she gave a great reading." (By the way, don't forget that "Jessie's Girl" rocker
Rick Springfield reprises his '80s role as Dr. Noah Drake
today!)

Corbin Bernsen
General Hospital's Corbin Bernsen is psyched about being cast in the USA Network pilot Psych. The premise: A tricky private eye uses his photographic memory to pass himself off as a psychic detective. Bernsen plays the P.I.'s disapproving dad. "I'm in Vancouver making the pilot now," he tells TVGuide.com. "Dule Hill from The West Wing is on the show, too. If USA picks it up for a series, we'll probably come back here in March to start production."
If that happens, will Bernsen have to leave his ABC suds role behind? After all, he has remained on recurring status by choice, since a contract could preclude his taking other gigs. "Scheduling might be a little bit hard, but there will be time to go back and forth between shows," Bernsen reassures us. "My plans are to stay at GH unless I absolutely can't do it. I enjoy playing D.A. Durant and I want to keep him in Port Charles. I can always do other shows, but I don't wa

Las Vegas did the time warp and treated us all to a retropisode. On a scale of 1 to 10, I give the effort an Ocean's 8. The vibe was chill, the music was cool and our posse looked gooood. The show did a credible job of re-creating early '60s Vegas — gangsters, gambling, racial tensions and all.
The names were all pretty much the same, except that the Montecito wasn't the Montecito, it was the Jubilee. Frank Sinatra was the main draw. And Mike had hair. The hair cracked me up. I think Robert Townsend wore somethin' like it back when he was in The Five Heartbeats. Nothing much really changed. Although this Ed Deline didn't have to hold back like he has to in the present day. Usually he has to turn the criminal element over to the police, but not in this alternate universe: He can actually go medieval on someone's sorry butt and then drop him off in front of his peeps just to se
