“The Tank Man” recalls a sole protester who faced a column of tanks during the 1989 Tiananmen Square protest in Beijing. Included: the protest's significance for today's China; what has changed in the country since 1989, and what hasn't. “China is on a knife edge,” says Dr. Nicholas Bequelin, China researcher with Human Rights Watch. “If we in the West are not aware of this, the leaders in Beijing are very much so, and this is their top concern.”
