CBS Boss Teases HIMYM, Men Futures, Talks Jennifer Esposito

Fans of CBS' comedies How I Met Your Mother and Two and a Half Men can't rest easy quite yet, but could have good news soon.

"We will be happy to be reporting in a few days that things will be resolved," CBS chief Nina Tassler told reporters at the winter TV previews Saturday about the possibility of a Season 9 renewal for HIMYM. "We're confident and excited that things will work out. Almost everything is complete."

Comedy writer Alan Kirschenbaum, who co-created CBS' Yes, Dear as well as the network's midseason comedy Friend Me, has died of an apparent suicide, Deadline.com reports. He was 51.

SNL Recruits Two Second City Alums for New Season

Saturday Night Live is adding two new faces. Aidy Bryant and Tim Robinson are slated to join the sketch comedy series for its upcoming 38th season, The Comic's Comic reports.

Both comedians are veterans of the legendary Chicago improv troupe Second City, which boasts a hefty list of SNL alums, including Tina Fey and Amy Poehler. Bryant is also a member the musical improv group Baby Wants Candy. read more
