Season 1, Episode 6
When sons Rory and Daniel decamp to their own flat, everyone in the Slippery household begins to reassess their lives. Paul, for his part, agrees to hypnotherapy at the hands of Pilfrey, whose guidance proves anything but benign. And Estelle entertains an odd proposition from her boss.
Season 1, Episode 5
Paul becomes convinced that Estelle is having an affair, and his colleagues become convinced that he has hit the sauce too hard. Later, by drowning his sorrows over the supposed affair and having a most awkward encounter with Surinder, Paul unwittingly gives them plenty of reason to worry.
Golden Globe winner Hugh Laurie (House) is Paul Slippery, a British doctor in the midst of a midlife crisis. His wife, Estelle (Anna Chancellor), has embarked on a new career and perhaps an extramarital love affair or two. His three oversexed sons mock him without mercy, and at work he's tormented by a flaky colleague. Filmed for Britain's ITV, this series is high comedy of the kookiest kind.
