Chuck deserves a whole season, not just 13 episodes. Any chance of more? — Darryl
MATT: Actually, yes. NBC entertainment president Ben Silverman says that while the current plan is to deliver 13 midseason episodes, depending on the ratings, "we may extend it out and continue it through the summer," where he thinks it could pair nicely with Friday Night Lights. "We're looking to ... keep [Chuck] incredibly viral and buzz-worthy until it returns, and then hopefully have it on our air for many years to come." That'd be Awesome. And even more so? I chatted up Scott Bakula at TNT's upfronts luncheon, and he's game for more Chuck, if need be.
Any scoop on Gossip Girl's Season 3? — F.R.
MICKEY: Speaking with TVGuide.com at the CW upfronts, Leighton Meester seemed to confirm that Georgina's plan to ...
Hugh Dillon, Flashpoint
Flashpoint 's Strategic Response Unit is gearing up for an exhilarating finale where the team will find themselves in a gang standoff (Friday, 9 pm/ET on CBS). TVGuide.com caught up with Hugh Dillon, who plays sniper Ed Lane, to find out what we can expect for the season-closer, what other "dark little show" he's been working on and what it's like to be the lead singer of a hardcore rock band.
TVGuide.com: What can you tell us about the Season 2 finale?
Hugh Dillon: It's such a riveting finale because it shows so much of the team and gives a glimpse into where they're going to be going next season. There's a shooting — a gang shooting — and ...
Enrico Colantoni, Flashpoint
CBS' hit series Flashpoint (Fridays at 9 pm/ET), which follows the lives of elite cops within the Strategic Response Unit, has returned for its second season after debuting with strong Friday-night ratings. Enrico Colantoni, who plays the SRU's Sgt. Gregory Parker, tells us what distinguishes his series, teases upcoming storylines and reveals what goes on when the cameras aren't rolling. Plus, Veronica Mars' dad dishes about the upcoming movie.
TVGuide.com: How does Flashpoint differ from other law enforcement shows?
Enrico Colantoni: There's a heightened adrenal rush and sentimental experience that has little to do with cops and robbers. It has more to do with watching our characters struggle with a particular situation and how that affects them directly. I find myself quite moved by the human aspect in our scripts that show what these guys are going through and how much they care. Every week we deal with people having a bad day and it's hard not to feel for them.
TVGuide.com: You guys tackle some extreme storylines. What situations can we expect in upcoming episodes?
Colantoni: Friday's episode is about ...
How did Friday's fare fare? Allow me to tell you via American Flight 3 to Los Angeles, where Mickey, Tim and I will be covering the Golden Globes and this week's Winter TCA Press Tour. (Thanks, GoGo in-flight wireless!)
Ghost Whisperer topped the hour as well as the night with an audience of 10.63 million total viewers, up 450K from its last fresh outing. Howie Do It did 7.68 mil to place second ahead of Wife Swap (4.77 mil).
CBS' Flashpoint kicked off its second season with an all-time high audience of 10.06 million viewers (up 400K from its Sept. 18 finale). Trailing Supernanny (5.6 mil) and the second hour of Fox's Bruce Almighty, Lipstick Jungle's last scheduled episode delivered 4.08 mil, dipping 150 thou week-to-week. Did the sudsy sophomore series finish strong enough to make NBC reconsider its swing of the axe? Stay tuned....
Numbers (10.08 mil) notched a 10 percent increase from its last new episode, easily besting 20/20 (7.89 mil) and Dateline (4.86 mil).
Amanda Tapping and Joe Flanigan, Stargate Atlantis
9 pm/ET Sci Fi
If you placed a bet that the series would end with the Wraith somehow threatening Earth, you may collect your winnings. The 100th and final episode kicks off with recurring frenemy Todd (Christopher Heyerdahl) tipping off the team about a rogue hive ship that gets bigger and meaner as it gets closer to our world.
Read on for previews of Howie Do It, Monk, Flashpoint and Numb3rs.

Question: I was wondering if you've had a chance to watch CBS' Flashpoint, and if so, what do you think of it? I actually think it's an OK series that fits pretty well within CBS' crime-series lineup. I could see it on almost any night of their schedule and I think that with a few cast changes and some refocusing, the show could have a bright future. Sure, it'll never be an Emmy nominee (nor should it), but I feel it has potential. I do think, though, that it needs to be a bit more of a character-driven series and not so much about plot. I'd much rather see the personal lives of these characters explored and see how work affects their lives. Do you think this show has much future at all, or is it dead in the water? Where did this show come from? I never heard anything about this show being developed, and all of a sudden it was on TV, and I'm sure I would have known about a show with Amy Jo Johnson (whom I adored on Felicity) and Enrico Colontoni (whom I still watch on Just Shoot Me ...

Flashpoint by Ben Mark Holzberg/CBS, Swingtown by Andrew Macpherson/CBS
Looks like CBS is pulling a switcheroo with two of their freshman series. Starting July 24, the risk-taking cops of Flashpoint will be finding a new home in CBS' 10 pm/ET Thursday slot (putting '70s series Swingtown in its former Friday at 10 pm/ET time period). The journey through the lives of the specialized police unit in Flashpoint won its time period in all key measures in both of its Friday broadcasts averaging about 7.6 million viewers. Gina DiNunno
