Sony is retooling episodes from its classic television library into 3-1/2 to 5-minute "minisodes" which will initially be available on the company's web-based Minisode Network launching this summer on MySpace. Thus far, Reuters reports, more than 300 minisodes each one condensing but covering a complete story arc from within the full-length episode have been produced from such shows as T.J. Hooker, Charlie's Angels, Facts of Life and Fantasy Island (as if Tattoo could get much smaller).

When Las Vegas took a beating and storms blacked out Chicago in part one of Category 6: Day of Destruction, Nancy McKeon thought of it as "a fun ride." Two ships left New York for Bermuda and there was a huge storm. The other ship actually turned back but ours just kept goin'. And I was very ill — it was rough and scary, and heightened by being young and not knowing what's going on. The ocean and weather can be very humbling.

Hey, Facts of Life fans! There's a reunion (of sorts) happening in tonight's season finale of The Division (8 pm/PT on Lifetime). Series regular Nancy McKeon's former Facts costar Kim Fields guest stars! What's Tootie doing on Jo's turf?
"I play a high-school principal facing a severe element of Columbine-ism, if you will," Fields, 35, tells TV Guide Online. "Some misfit students end up going to an extreme and becoming violent. There's shooting, car explosions and a hostage situation. So it's very intense."
Fields even finds herself in some juicy danger. "I am a hostage," she chuckles. "I'm connected to a bomb, actually — it's strapped around my neck! And anybody who knows me knows the front of my neck — around my throat — is very, very sensitive and ticklish. So the idea of wardrobe people strapping something in that area for a few days was so unappealing."
