Not quite living up to Oprah Winfrey's "live your best life now" mantra, her OWN network nonetheless got off to a respectable start, debuting New Year's Day to an average prime-time audience of 1.16 million viewers.
It was the No. 3 cable network among women aged 25 to 54 at 8 and 9 p.m., a two-hour block of Season 25: Oprah Behind the Scenes. OWN only trailed...
Who shot Paul Young? And is he dead or alive? Perhaps we'll find out tonight, when we return to a riot-torn Wisteria Lane and its battle-scarred residents. Susan's the worst off. It seems that she'll need a kidney or two. But Mrs. McClusky was hurt pretty bad, too. Also returning is Orson Hodge, and that could present problems for Bree, since Keith is moving in with her. Meanwhile, the Renee-Tom-Lynette mess might get messier. And Gaby will keep finding it really hard to let go of Grace, and don't expect Juanita to like that one bit. — Paul Droesch

We are here this week in Florida for an extremely wonderful family, the Gastons. Finis, the oldest member of the family, has really drawn our attention. He was away at college when his mother suddenly passed away. Instead of letting his nieces and nephews go into the foster care system he came back to be the man of the household. He did what was right in his heart. It has not been easy for Finis, but he is a happy, grateful, wonderful person who just has this inner peace about him. This family is so incredibly deserving of a home that suits their needs, and we are here this week to give them just that!
Emmy-winning TV producer Denise Cramsey, who worked on shows such as Extreme Makeover: Home Edition and True Beauty, has died, according to The Hollywood Reporter. She was 41.

Nearly 5 million viewers visited Sarah Palin's Alaska Sunday night, making it the biggest series launch in TLC history, according to the network.
The docu-series from Mark Burnett, which follows the former governor and her family, also drew 1.6 million adults ages 18-49. The one-hour episode topped the 2003 launch of previous record-holder...
This week we traveled to Nashville to build a new structure for the Lighthouse School because they've sustained a massive amount of damage during the floods back in June. I think everybody in the country saw on different news stations part of the school floating down the river. I'm from Tennessee, born and raised, and there wasn't anyone who could have looked at that footage and not go, "Oh my gosh."

Amazing Race 17
The six remaining teams fly from Russia to Oman, where several surprises await them. But perhaps the biggest shock happens to Stephanie. During the leg, her boyfriend Chad proposes to her. As for the race itself, the pairs dangle from a rock mountain and try to avoid deadly mistakes like the one that proved "fatal" to father-son team Michael and Kevin Wu last week when they failed to correctly read a clue. — Tim Holland

This week we are in Pocatello, Idaho helping the Marshall-Spreier family and what a great family they are! There's Jane, the mom, and then there are eight kids. Jane suffered from cancer and on top of that, an electrical fire took away their home. For the past 18 months they've been living in a little trailer and a tent in their backyard. This family has lost everything and yet life is still pretty sunny for these folks. The entire family is very competent in their musical abilities and I think what holds this family together is that they have their music to go to. You shut your eyes and you play music and you're everywhere.

The Simpsons (FOX)
Lisa Simpson has a crush on the sparkly new teen vampire in town (Harry Potter star Daniel Radcliffe); during Marge and Homer's second honeymoon at sea, they meet a castaway who sounds an awful lot like Dr. Gregory House (Hugh Laurie).
This week we traveled to my home state of Wisconsin to surprise the Arboleda Family. This family is amazing. Rex and Clare followed their dream and came over here from the Philippines with CJ, their oldest daughter, when she was just a baby. They bought a house and Rex got a job as a music teacher.
Rex not only teaches people about music and dance, but how to live a healthy lifestyle through the love of music and through the love of dance. It's one thing to be a teacher and teach kids the regular curriculum and it's another thing to think outside the box and to combat a bigger problem. Rex has brought it to our attention that one in four kids in America suffers from childhood obesity.
