Extreme Makeover: Home Edition's Leigh Anne Tuohy on the Brown Family

This week we traveled to Wellman, Texas to surprise the Brown family. You know, the Brown's are really an amazing family — Jeanne, Johnny Mac and their daughter Katrina. They absolutely have had one of the most tragic situations, losing their child Alex to a texting while driving accident. They have been able to look beyond their own personal grief and realize that the message is more impactful than their grief. As a mother I can tell you that there's nothing in the world I can imagine worse than losing a child.  The fact that they lost a child and they were immediately able to take a message and move forward with it just testifies to the integrity and the character of this family.

Extreme Makeover: Home Editions' Ed Sanders on the Simpson Family

Okay, gang, so this week we are in Savannah, Ga. and we're here to meet the lovely Simpson family.

Their story is a bit of a tough one.  You've got a beautiful little boy by the name of Zoe who was born with some very, very bad conditions. He has fluid retention in the body and also his brain, which not many people survive.  If that wasn't bad enough, he was also born blind because he had detached retinas.  The amazing thing is that this child is still alive and now 2-years-old.

AFC Title Game Gets Highest Ratings in 24 Years

The AFC Championship game on CBS drew the strongest ratings for the conference's title game in 24 years.

Overnight Nielsen figures showed the game had the highest percentage of households (31.3 percent in the 56 top TV markets) since NBC's 1987 broadcast of the Denver Broncos defeating the Cleveland Browns in the AFC title tilt (31.9 percent).

The fourth season debut of Californication on Sunday brought in 848,000 viewers — the show's biggest audience for a season premiere. Between the first and encore airings, the episode drew 1.12 million viewers.
