Everybody Hates Chris, Tyler James Williams
While flipping through the channels the other day, we stumbled upon an episode of the hilarious Everybody Hates Chris and were shocked to see how much lead actor Tyler James Williams had grown — not to mention how deep his voice has gotten. Will it be too weird when his grown-up voice doesn't match that of Chris Rock, who provides the adult Chris's voiceovers?

Jennifer Love Hewitt in Ghost Whisperer
How Friday's fare... fared:
8 pm/ET
Ghost Whisperer was the evening's most-watched program, delivering 9.3 million total viewers, a seven percent increase over its year-ago opener. 5th Grader (5.8 mil) was a distant second, followed by Wife Swap, Toughest Jobs and the CW's returning comedy combo of Everybody Hates Chris (2.09 mil) and The Game (1.91 mil).
9 pm
This is where Moonlight fans will be tempted to say, "Told you so!" The Ex List topped the first half-hour with 7.2 mil (or 73 percent retention coming immediately out of GW), but then ceded the lead to Deal or No Deal during its back half, dropping to 6.49 mil. Moonlight, Les Moonves will scold me for reminding you, premiered a year ago to 8.63 mil and even mustered 7.56 mil in its May finale. That said, the luminous Ms. Reaser appears to have drawn slightly better demos.
Elsewhere, Fox's Lyrics (4.35 mil) edged out ABC's Supernanny (4.19 mil).
10 pm
Numbers' numbers were down a mil from its previous premiere, but it still came out on top with 8.13 mil. 20/20 followed with 6.34 mil, while NBC's Life (5.44 mil) was down 24 percent from its Monday premiere (the first of two "special" Monday airings).

Question: What has happened to the black sitcom? There are no black comedies on the fall schedule on any of the major networks. There are only two that I know of still running on regular television: Everybody Hates Chris and The Game on the CW. Both have been moved to the dreaded Friday night for the fall. Why aren't there any comedies with a predominately black cast on network TV? And why isn't anyone talking about it?
Answer: Does it help that Fox is planning a Family Guy spinoff built around the show's African-American character Cleveland? Probably not. (Although Fox did have a critical success with its claymated and very ethnic The PJs a while back.) Anyway, perhaps you've noticed how few comedies altogether are on the fall lineup. Reality is the new comedy, I'm sorry to say — and bad comedy at that, if summer hits like Wipeout is any indication — and when the whole genre suffers, so do comedies with a minority cast. All is not lost, though. Fox is developing a new comedy with

90210 cast by Frank Ockenfels/The CW
The CW is the latest network to spill their fall slate, and two nights Monday (Gossip Tree Hill) and Thursday (Smallnatural) remain unchanged.Tuesday will offer some "zip" in the form of 90210, the BH follow-up featuring an occasional drop-by from "guidance counselor" Jennie Garth. Leading out of that is Surviving the Filthy Rich (fka How to Teach Filthy Rich Girls, and starring Reba's JoAnna Garcia).Wednesday, as usual, kicks off with Top Model, now followed by Stylista, a Devil Wears Prada-esque reality series from Tyra Banks. Everybody Hates Chris and The Game, having lost their Sunday-night home, have been moved to Friday.Speaking of CW's Sunday... that's "TBA." Media Rights Capital, the firm network "outsourced" the evening to, will announce its offerings (two dramas and two comedies) at a later date. Reaper will return midseason.
