Deep within the bowels of one of england s darkest prisons, Jasper is one of the lowliest prison workers. He cleans up the bodies of the fever deaths and ties the nooses that hang men by the neck until dead. While prepping a dead prisoner for burial, Jasper learns that his estranged son, William, has been imprisoned and condemned to death by way of hanging.
Still blaming his son for his wife s death during childbirth, Jasper refuses to help William. However, upon realizing that this resentment of William has long been misplaced, Jasper forms an elaborate plan to help his son escape execution...
