Entourage Episode Recap: "Play'n with Fire" Season 5, Episode 11

With only one episode left to go, I'm not quite sure how things can get any worse for the boys from Queens. Vince's situation took a dire turn this week as Verner's over-the-top demands pushed Vince to the breaking point. As Vince stood up for himself and demanded some clarity from his mercurial director, Verner unceremoniously fired him on the spot.

Entourage Episode Recap: "Seth Green Day" Season 5, Episode 10

Though Jason Patric was nowhere to be seen this week, Vince continued to suffer at the hands of his demanding, and rather eccentric, director. After yet another bout of last-minute line swapping, Vince confronted Verner (Stellan Skarsgard) about his issues with the script, and, in turn, Verner played some serious mind games with Vince. After convincing Vince that his onscreen mannerisms (Clooney-esque head tilts and quivering lips) were distracting from his performance, Vince's confidence was definitely shaken. If the previews are any indication, things don't look to get better for our hero anytime soon.

Entourage Episode Recap: The Pie Season 5, Episode 9

At the end of last week's hysterically funny and well-crafted episode, Vince raised a celebratory glass and said, "To things being back on track." Well, it didn't take very long for the good vibrations to come to a screeching halt. As filming for "Smoke Jumpers" commenced, Vince was introduced to a variety of new and difficult personalities that he will apparently need to contend with during his comeback project.

First Class Jerk Season 5, Episode 8

Ari's preoccupation with a huge career move makes him inaccessible, so Vince answers a rival agent's call to meet with a famous director. Meanwhile, Turtle lucks into an airplane seat next to Jamie-Lynn Sigler. read more

Entourage Episode Recap: "Gotta Look Up to Get Down" Season 5, Episode 7

"Models, models and more models." That was pretty much the theme of tonight's episode. For Vincent Chase, even unemployment is interesting and filled with possibility. Shauna capitalized on Vince's best assets and landed him a tidy modeling pay day that required him to pose with gorgeous, underwear-clad models and do little else. It sounded like the perfect gig for our favorite, under-employed, work ethic-challenged actor. Unfortunately, Vince's chemistry with his co-star Natasha did not sit well with her boss, marketing guru Freddy (Jason Isaacs), who promptly fired her and brought in a replacement. (I laughed at Shauna's comparison of models to cockroaches: "Stamp one out and fifty lookalikes show up in their place.") A smitten Vince got an attack of scruples and went directly to Freddy to plead her case, but it turned out to be Vince, and not his co-star, that had actually caught Freddy's eye.

Entourage Episode Recap: "ReDOMption" Season 5, Episode 6

Studio chief and Vincent Chase nemesis Alan Gray rather prophetically foreshadowed his own demise at the beginning of tonight's episode. Describing a Ramones script still being shopped around by Martin Landau's still-spry Bob Ryan, he noted "Nothing's ever dead in this town." Well, 18 holes later, Alan ... read more

Tree Trippers Season 5, Episode 5

Making the right call on a crucial career move calls for Vince and the guys to search for clarity and guidance in the arid expanse of Joshua Tree National Park. Meanwhile, Lloyd assists Ari in his time of need. read more

Fire Sale Season 5, Episode 4

Im not sure if it was the bidding war over the newly-titled Smoke Jumpers Dramas emotional meltdown on The View or the whiff of desperation that seems to be surrounding Vince these days but tonights episode had a renewed energy and some of those laugh-out-loud lines that Ive been waiting for all season This is what I call progress Im no Hollywood insider but the entire interview with the ladies of daytime felt a little contrived though it did allow Johnny a chance for some cathartic release so hopefully we will get past this Jacqueline obsession Debi Mazar can always be counted on to deliver as the eternally perturbed Shauna and I enjoy the fact that she is now representing Johnny I would love to see what would happen if the two of them got together Could Shauna end up becoming Johnnys rebound girl The currently unemployed and unemployable Chase brother was reduced to a parade of meetings with disinterested studio chiefs Tom Rothm read more

The All Out Fall Out Season 5, Episode 3

The easily-bruised egos of the various men of Entourage were the center piece of tonights episode and it made for some amusing moments While Im still patiently waiting for return of the laugh-out-loud lines of the early seasons it does seem like we have finally moved past Medellin For that I am grateful Mrs Aris outrageous anniversary Ferrari set the stage for a showdown between Ari and the increasingly loathsome Adam Davies As the escalating practical jokes took a nasty turn Ari was finally pushed over the edge when Davies tracked down some revealing photos featuring Mrs Ari in an early acting gig Watching Ari storm his former offices and confront the squirmy Davies was the treat of the night especially when he gallantly declared Games are games Daviesbut that is the mother of my children Well on second thought it was probably a strong second to Ari being man-handled by those police officer strippers while Lloyd cheered with giddy delight read more

Unlike a VIrgin Season 5, Episode 2

The fallout from Medellin continued as Vince learned that Hollywoods patience with him has begun to wane in the face of his disastrous career choices Despite a new work ethic that includes actually reading scripts Vinces time on the beach has cost him in more than just tangible assets His once shiny rising star is now casting a little less glow and he is learning that for the first time he is going to have to really commit to playing the game to gain back his movie star status While Ari rarely emits a warm and fuzzy glow I was a little surprised by his bluntness in assessing Vinces prospects especially on his golf outing with Marky Mark Yes that was Entourage executive producer Mark Wahlberg dropping by to offer some real-life star power to the proceedings But as requested by Vince Ari does give it to him straight telling him that by not playing the game and refusing to be part of the process Vince has alienated himself Ar read more

Fantasy Island Season 5, Episode 1

In the fifth-season premiere, Eric and Ari deal with the fallout from "Medellin"'s wretched reviews while Vince and Turtle lay low in an undisclosed tropical paradise, and Drama continues his long-distance romance with Jacqueline, but turns into a diva during a "Five Towns" photo shoot. read more

Premise: A young movie star from Queens lives the good life in Hollywood surrounded by his boyhood pals, who shamelessly milk the actor's fame for all it's worth. Modeled on the starstruck experiences of coexecutive producer Mark Wahlberg, this breezy satire has moments of inspiration, with the best bits usually coming from Vince's half-brother, Johnny Drama, a D-list actor, and Ari, the amoral agent whose savagely witty barbs earned Jeremy Piven a well-deserved Supporting Actor Emmy award.
