Kristy McNichol, Rich Little and Lee Meriweather
Former television actress Kristy McNichol has opened up about why she left show business.
During a recent reunion for the hit '70s series Love Boat, McNichol, who also starred on the '80s sitcom Empty Nest but vanished from the spotlight in part because she was diagnosed with bipolar disorder, told People she also left because she wanted to "see what else was out there."

I like everything about it and may eventually move there part-time."
