Taylor Ball gives a heartfelt performance as 14-year-old Eddie Ogden, an underdog baseball team's star player who, after discovering he's a natural at cooking, gets teased by his teammates and faces ridicule from the head coach, who also happens to be his dad. In an attempt to make himself and everyone else happy, Eddie keeps up with the demands of his first-base duties, while secretly creating an original recipe he can enter into a culinary contest.
