Premise: An arresting and dramatically brave 1960s drama about a New York social worker who confronts inner-city problems. Ahead of its time, but perhaps too bleakly realistic in tackling issues such as child abuse, drug addiction and welfare, the series never found a large enough audience and was canceled after one season.
